NEWS! MERGER OF THE PACIFIC WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION (PWGA), WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA(WGANC) AND NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
GOLF ASSOCIATION (NCGA). By Karen Thom
NCGA has absorbed PWGA and WGANC, as a result they are letting any NCGA women enter the Open Day series events and tournaments. Part
of your dues for LHLGVIII goes to NCGA dues. Most of the Legacy WGANC Open Days
will include breakfast and lunch as part of the registration fee. I have not seen any of the PWGA days listed yet with information. The tournament information page will say what is included is the
registration fee. (i.e. Includes: Cart,
Range, Breakfast, Lunch, Prize and Points Fund)
These events are fun to play in and there is a points
program that runs throughout the year.
Don’t know what they are doing this year, but the last few years if you
played you get points, and if you placed in your flight you got more
points. At the end of the year they
divided out the pot and sent out Amazon gift cards.
The first year they did the points program Linda Fitzmaurice (Past LHLGXVIII member) came in first and received $300.
I have posted the Open Day Series events on the bulletin board. Check the Play Day tab on this site for a link to the schedule. They have come out with a partial
tournament schedule but more to come.
